Petrus Paulus Rubens (1577-1639). Native German baroque painter. His work represents the perfect Baroque style, both in terms of composition (the interaction of colours, shapes and light) and themse. His paintings deviated aesthetically at the time – he often painted sensual female figures rationalistically. They are full of dynamics, colours and emotionally tense scenes. His work is independent, more personal and more informed than the creations of his time. For this reason, he significantly influenced his contemporaries.
