Andy Warhol / Andrew Warhol (1928-1987). He is rightly ranked among the most influential artists of the late 20th century. He is the founder of so-called pop art. He was born in the USA to Slovak emigrants. He changed his name after it was garbled in a magazine. As one of the first, he began to use photos as the basis for his paintings and drawings. This enabled him to repeat some motives in his paintings. He never allowed his personality to be reflected in his works - he was cold and aloof (his works do not contain elements of direct communication) and with a grain of salt, we can say he turned himself into a brand.
